Diane Ethier, nominee for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2010 Man & Woman of the Year, recently found a new mission in her fundraising efforts. Last month, a local six-year-old girl, Sophia Rossetti, lost her two and a half year battle with Leukemia. Ethier focused her involvement with the LLS onto the inspiring story of the Rossetti family and transformed what would have been a small kick-off event into a large fundraising effort on behalf of Sophie, as well as the Boy and Girl of the Year, Jacob Kaminski and Kassidy Krenzer.

New medical office development in the U.S. in 2010 and beyond may be the industry's savior as President Barack Obama's priority health reform legislation goes to a Senate vote Christmas Eve.
A final version of the bill won't be voted on until mid-January. Many provisions in the bill won't kick in until 2014.
In the meantime, commercial real estate industry pundits are divided on what immediate benefits the landmark legislation will have for developers, investors, tenants and landlords.
